Multi-instrummentalist (Drummer / Guitarist) looking to form experimental indie alternative rock band

Multi-instrummentalist (Drummer / Guitarist) looking to form experimental indie alternative rock band with a hint of angst, jazzy grunge, electronica, hip-hop and a blend of jam-band blues mojo. To perform / record mostly unique original material & some covers; think Tom Waits meets Radiohead, Beck The Pixies, My Morning Jacket, The Allman Brothers, Neil Young, The Kinks, ect. Experienced Apple multi-track computer recording collaboration savvy.

Multi-instrumentalist seeking similarly influenced: Yeah that's me. I do it for fun. I can play drums, (light & loose, jazzy, funky or tight & heavy) guitar, bass and keys...you name it. I can sing too. What can you do?

I'm no spring chicken at 37, and I'll drink your mom under the table and make her write bad checks! I'm no pretty boy; I'm balding, fat, and have a hairy back to boot. So what? Chicks dig it. No, Seriously...

Looking for people with similar influences; like-minded (and talanted) artists who want to try to get something going. We'll need a place to jam, as my house is still under construction. I have drums, guitars, a few amps, some mics and some other crappy gear. I'm learning digital recording, and am dangerous enough at it to know that I need to invest more time and money in real studio sessions. LoFi Digital home recording to me is like a sketch book.

Below are some links; they don't show what I can do best, which is jam my ass off.

MaciDol site: (Recorded mostly in my FEMA trailer) Something for everyone here:

My old band: Poor Luther's Bones; (like a Psychedellic Tom Waits on Acid). I played drums and co-wrote songs.

Listen to these tracks:
RAY'S GOOD DAY.MP3
DR.SLINKY.MP3

Any rate; my goal is to record new material every year; enough to make an entire album of decent stuff, produce the album and do a vanity press run. I'd like to play a few gigs a month in and around New Orleans or close by, (earn enough to fund more recording?) I like playing live gigs too, but within reason....I still have a life, so no touring the entire country (been there, done that), unless something REALLY takes off...but I digress.

INFLUENCES: Here's what I'm into lately: more....I'm always open minded.

CLASSIC: Meat Puppets, The Allman Brothers Band, Dylan, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Buffalo Springfield, The Kinks, Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Joy Division, The Byrds, Led Zeppelin

Poem for Suz

For Suz

You drink your coffee black,
you snore when you sleep.
You bring beer to the airport
and there is nothing you won't keep.

You drive an old rusty truck
from way back in 1993,
and you like to watch way too much
late night TV

You snort when you giggle,
and then cover-up bashfully
You have a sexy wiggle and
do it just for me

You make a huge mess,
but you clean-up after mine
You know your way around the kitchen
but a frozen pizza's fine

You eat crawfish like the devil,
and smoke like a fish,
You're always on the level,
or so I'll always wish

you cry at bad news,
you feel everyone's pain
you're smarter than I am
(though I have the larger brain)

You're a creative designer
you love to garden too
but the thing I like best of all
is that you love me, and I love you
